A Shooting Star Returns
The World Poker Tour® is making its long-awaited return to the iconic Bay 101 Casino in San Jose, California, this fall for 14 days of nonstop tournament action.
Running October 17 – November 2, the festival will be headlined by the WPT® Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship main event, a legendary tournament packed with bounties, bonuses, and big-name pros.
The final table of the WPT® Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship main event will be played at a later date in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it will be filmed for television, adding even more prestige to this already legendary poker destination.
A Historic Stage for Poker Greatness
Since its WPT® debut in 2004—where Phil Gordon claimed his first title and $360,000 first-place prize—Bay 101 has hosted 15 WPT® Championship events and some of the tour's most memorable moments.
And now, the Bay 101 Shooting Star bounty tournament returns to recapture the energy, excitement, and prestige that have made it one of poker's most beloved stops.
Bounties Abound
The WPT® Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship main event will adhere to the classic bounty rules of years past. Each starting table will have at least one “Shooting Star”, including legendary “Poker Brat” himself, Phil Hellmuth, 2-time WPT® Champion Michael Mizrachi, and ClubWPT's very own Brand Ambassador Josh Guindon, with a $2,500 bounty given to the player who knocks a Shooting Star out of the tournament.
If a Shooting Star wins the tournament they will collect their own bounty. In addition to the bounties, there is a $5,000 chip leader bonus for chip leaders of each day 1 starting flights.
