(If both qualifiers beat Phil Ivey, they both get awarded a $10,400 WPT® World Championship seat.)

Phil Ivey – The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Widely regarded as the best all-around poker player in the world, Phil Ivey has been a formidable force to be reckoned with at the tables for over two decades – both live and online.

With nearly $40 million in live tournament earnings alone, including a WPT® Championship title, his name etched on the WPT® Mike Sexton Champions Cup, and a 2017 induction into the Poker Hall of Fame – there are very few players out there with his track record, longevity, and devotion to the game of poker.

Known for playing very high-stakes (sometimes referred to as ‘nosebleeds') cash games, he once beat Texas billionaire Andy Beal out of $16 million over the course of three days in a $25,000/$50,000 No-Limit Hold'em heads-up game.

As a WPT® Ambassador, Phil Ivey has expanded his role in the global poker community and his commitment and passion towards poker has never been greater as he looks forward to working with the World Poker Tour® to showcase the game around the world.
