Photo of poker player Allyn Shulman winning a bracelet

Allyn Shulman – WiPHoF Class of 2014

With over $1.6 million in poker tournament earnings, Allyn cemented her superior skills on the poker felt by winning a WSOP gold bracelet and $603,713 at the 2012 World Series of Poker, and was the first woman in 249 WSOP events to capture a bracelet in an open event.

Next, Allyn followed that up by besting a field of 262 players to take down the 2013 Venetian Deepstacks $5,000 Championship for a $293,966 1st place prize.

Having been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, Allyn’s skills go beyond the poker tables as she's one of the world’s leading experts on online gambling law.

She testified before the North Dakota Senate regarding online gaming when they were attempting to be the first State to authorize online gaming. Allyn is also a former Board member of the Poker Player Alliance and the Women in Poker Hall of Fame.

Margie Heintz – WiPHoF Class of 2011

Credited with being the first woman to ever deal at the World Series of Poker, Margie has had a long and storied career in the poker industry dating to the early 1970s. Originally from Montana, she played and dealt poker in Billings, before she relocated to Las Vegas and secured a position dealing at the renowned Golden Nugget.

Back in 1977, famous rodeo cowboy and poker player Byron “Cowboy” Wolford suggested Margie deal at the upcoming World Series of Poker at Binion’s Gambling Hall. Although she was told no woman had ever dealt the tournament or had even applied to deal before, she wasn't gonna take ‘no' for an answer and went to talk to owner Benny Binion. The two hit it off immediately after she mentioned her Montana roots, and the rest is history…

Margie's sting dealing at the 1977 World Series of Poker was so successful that she was invited to deal the final table in front of a televised audience – further opening the door for women in the poker industry across the nation.

Margie was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in 2011. You can connect with her on Facebook.
