ClubWPT will run a series of ten (10) satellites March through July (two per month), with each awarding 10 seats to the limited 100 player field qualifier in August this summer.

The top twenty (20) finishers of the qualifier will each win a $2,500 WPT® Prime Championship Passport to the WPT® Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas main event taking place December 7-12, 2023 at the Forbes® Travel Guide five-star rated Wynn Las Vegas.

How Does It Work?

The top four (4) finishers and the one (1) player who busts Tony in the bounty qualifier that takes place on Sunday, Oct 30th @ 4:00 PM ET, will each receive a VIP travel package which includes a $1,000 cash travel stipend, 4 night hotel stay at the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas, entry to play in The Tony Dunst WPT Battleship Bounty heads-up match, and an invite to a WPT VIP party with World Poker Tour® talent.

All six players – the five (5) ClubWPT qualifiers plus Tony – will be situated in the same ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas. The five ClubWPT players will then all play Tony simultaneously in a heads-up match on their own individual computer – while Tony will be multi-tabling and playing all five at the same time.

Both the online qualifier bounty tournament (Oct 30th) and the live battleship heads-up event (Dec 9th) will take place on ClubWPT.com, and will be live streamed on the official ClubWPT Twitch channel.

Each player who emerges victorious in their own individual heads-up match against Tony will win a $1,100 buy-in entry to the $2 million guarantee WPT Prime Championship.

If the player who knocks out Tony is also a top four finisher, then the fifth place finisher will receive the fifth prize.

About The WPT Prime Championship

The 2022 WPT World Championship poker festival is taking poker to new heights this December. Alongside the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas with a record-setting $15 million guarantee, the complete 23-event festival schedule features more than $22 million in guaranteed prize pools – including the inaugural WPT Prime Championship.

Tony Dunst – The Battleship Bounty

Tony Dunst, a high-stakes pro and one of the most unique personalities in the poker industry, joined the World Poker Tour as host of the WPT Raw Deal segment for Season IX. Tony beat out hundreds of other contestants in a nationwide search to capture the coveted slot and spent seven seasons strategically analyzing some of the most pivotal hands from World Poker Tour events. When Mike Sexton announced his retirement from the WPT commentary booth, it was only natural for Tony to be promoted into the role starting with Season XVI.

Tony has always been an avid player of World Poker Tour events. In Season XII, he was able to etch his name on the venerable WPT Champions Cup™, winning WPT Caribbean and $145,000. Later that season he nearly became a two-time champion, but ultimately fell in third in the WPT World Championship, earning $452,729.

In 2016, he added yet another marquee title to his poker résumé when he won a WSOP gold bracelet in a $1,000 No-Limit Texas Hold’em event, and defeated a field of 2,452 entries to earn $339,254 in that tournament. Featured as a frequent bounty in the hugely popular WPT Family Live Stream Bounty Series – Tony's no stranger to great poker tournament action on the ClubWPT virtual felt.
