Thousands in Las Vegas Coupons
Make the most of your trip with these great deals!
This year's book has a total of 174 coupons from 78 entities, compared to 164 from 65 last year. The expected value from the gambling coupons is well into the triple digits and there's hundreds of dollars more in savings from the dining and show coupons. Even more important are dozens of coupons, in addition to the Palms' awesome $50 comp.
One important thing we were able to do this year is get many more dining discounts that offer 50% off for one person. In the past the casinos have preferred to stick to 2-for-1s, but they were receptive to the needs of the single user this year. Also, several new casinos are on board: Four Queens, Tuscany, Silver Nugget, Opera House, Bighorn, the Primm properties, and Aquarius in Laughlin.

POV Dining
We've got a powerful dining haul this year. Of 23 2-for-1 buffet coupons, seven are good seven days a week (which means they include seafood and specialty nights) and almost all are now good for 50% off for single diners. We've retained all the good ones—among them Red Rock, Bally's, Silverton, Gold Coast, Orleans, Green Valley Ranch, and Rio's Carnival World—giving the buffet coupons alone a total value of $310.
The buffets are great, but the non-buffet coupons may be even better. There are 37 of them this year, including a 2-for-1 for Binion's Ranch Steakhouse and a free (small) prime rib at Jerry's Nugget when you order a second. For the first time this year, we've included three of our "Locals Corner" recommendations, so you can get deals at Motor City Coney Island, Barbecue Masters, and Hot 'n Juicy Crawfish. There are also five completely free offers. We haven't compiled all the numbers, but estimate an additional $350 in value here.
POV Entertainment
This year's book has another good representation of shows with 2-for-1 offers; 21 in all include new offers for Ooh La La and Anthony Cools at Paris. As we've pointed out in the past, these are the purest twofers, since they don't include any sort of service fees, such as those you pay at the half-price outlets. We calculate the potential savings at $1,139.
There's also a good assortment of related entertainment discounts, including twofers for the Stratosphere and Eiffel Towers and a free ride on the great roller coaster at Primm.
POV Gambling
This year's POV is particularly powerful for coupon gamblers. Using the book's 23 matchplay coupons for a standard coupon run is worth $101.97 in expected return, up $13.63 from last year.
Add in the two $50-for-$40s, two $10 ace coupons, a $5 sports bet, a new $20 blackjack free-play, and four free slot play coupons and the expected return rises to $182.77. This is what we refer to as the "AI total," where AI stands for "Any Idiot," as this average return can be achieved by even the least-skilled players. This year's AI total is the highest in the history of the POV (by nearly $50). Even more amazing, for the first time free-play alone is worth an expected win of $48.10 with zero risk!
The expectation for playing all the gambling coupons in the POV is $269.77, and that doesn't include 14 players club point multipliers ranging from 2X to 5X points. For dollar players, these point multipliers represent some of the most valuable coupons in the POV.
